Company Got Approval From CCI For Acquisition New Company; Know Share Target

Adani Power (NSE: ADANIPOWER) Share Price: Adani Power shares saw an increase in price early on Wednesday morning, after the Adani Group company got approval from CCI to acquire Lanco Amarkantak Power Limited. 

The stock is up approximately 4 percent, to Rs 543 in the early trade. 

The stock opened today at Rs 529 and within a couple of minutes, it was at the price of 538.80 and closed at Rs 513.50. Adani Power’s 52-week highest is 589.45 and the lowest is 166.40. 

Adani Power Share Price History: 

Adani Power has risen by over 5 percent in the past five days. 

This share is part of Adani Group, which was showing negative returns during the month, that ended in June it has earned impressive returns of more than 43 percent over the last six months. 

However, over one year, it has nearly tripled the amount of money it has given its shareholders. An increase of around 194 percent was recorded in the last year.

Lanco Amarkantak Power going through the bankruptcy process A part of the Lanco Group is in the business of producing thermal power in India. 

Lanco Amarkantak Power is currently working through the corporate resolution procedure under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 (IBC). 

Adani Power Limited will acquire 100 percent equity shares in the capital Lanco Amarkantak Power. 

In the opinion of CCI, the proposed deal will not have any negative effect on the competition of any important market within India. 

In the past, Adani Power had gotten the blessing from the committee of creditors to approve the resolution plan to purchase the bankrupt Lanco Amarkantak Power.

Bid Amounting To 4101 Crores: 

Adani Power has reportedly won the bid of Rs 4,101 crore for the company with a debt burden. 

Lanco Amarkantak has two thermal power plants of 300-300 MW each located in Chhattisgarh. 

This agreement will increase the power capacity of Adani Power.

The subsidiaries of the Company comprise Adani Power (Jharkhand) Limited, Pench Thermal Energy (MP) Limited,  Mahan Energen Limited, Adani Power Dahej Limited and Kutchh Power Generation Limited.
